Chalamet and Jenner booed as Knicks host Cavs

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner were booed when they were called out inside Rocket Arena during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals as the Knicks hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers.
When Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner walked into Rocket Arena for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, it was meant to be pure Knicks passion.
The Oscar-nominated actress and Kylie Cosmetics founder arrived to watch Chalamet’s favorite NBA team. the New York Knicks. take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. As they were seated. announcers pointed out they were in the building in the same way they had done for other big names who traveled to Cleveland—naming figures including Spike Lee. Tracy Morgan. Pitbull. and more.
Then the tone changed. When the broadcast called for Chalamet and Jenner, some fans in the crowd began booing. Jenner appeared uncomfortable as the noise rose.
The moment quickly split opinions online. One fan wrote, “Why are people so negative about them?. I think they’re cute and they took this in great humour!. He’s a die hard knicks fan…”. Another commented. “We dont care. respectfully. ” while a different supporter reacted. “I feel like Timothee took a whole break from movies for this Knicks run and I respect that.”.
Chalamet’s presence had been known before tip-off. He posted a selfie on Instagram with fellow Knicks fan Spike Lee, signaling he was at the game. Jenner, though, hadn’t attended the Eastern Conference Finals games thus far—making Game 4 her first appearance in this round.
During Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Jenner made it clear she was watching from home, turning on the TV and sharing what she had prepared. She showed chips, a bottle of wine, and caviar placed on her bed, with an overlay reading, “GAME NIGHT!”
Jenners and Chalamet have been dating for three years, and she has attended several games with him along the way. Still, the booing inside Rocket Arena during Game 4 added an awkward edge to what had been billed as a celebrity-filled night.
The Knicks’ postseason stakes run deeper than any single moment. If New York reaches the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, it would cap a dramatic road forward. The Knicks or the Cavaliers will then face the winner of the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs series. which is currently tied 2-2 in the Western Conference Finals.
Back in Cleveland, the Game 4 crowd had its own storyline once Chalamet and Jenner were called out. For some, the booing was just part of a loud building; for others, it felt unnecessary—especially on a night tied to one of the Knicks’ biggest chances in decades.
