Cardi B cheers as Wave, 4, finishes preschool

Cardi B marked her son Wave’s preschool graduation with a tearful Instagram tribute after he won the Student’s Choice Award and performed onstage, followed by a family dinner in New Jersey.
Cardi B knew the moment mattered the second it started to play out on her phone.
On Thursday, June 25, she posted a series of family photos on Instagram showing her son Wave’s preschool graduation day unfolding in real time—Wave, 4, in a blue and gold cap and gown, and the rapper, 33, dressed in a stylish beige pantsuit, cuddling her son as he beamed for the cameras.
The milestone came with clear wins. Wave received the Student’s Choice Award, and during the ceremony he performed onstage alongside his classmates. In one set of pictures, Cardi looked emotional, holding Wave close as balloons and gifts sat around them. In the caption. she wrote: “Proud of my son 💙. ” signing the feeling with the kind of pride that doesn’t need embellishment.
Cardi’s joy wasn’t only posed for photos—on her Instagram Stories. she filmed Wave appearing shy as he performed with his classmates. She also recorded him accepting his certificate at the ceremony. Before the clips ended, she added her voice to the celebration with: “Wooo!. That’s my baby!. My baby. That’s my boy.”.
The family presence was there, too. Cardi shared the event with her big sister Kulture Kiari, 7½, and baby sister Blossom Belle, 21 months. In the background of the celebration, the siblings made it feel like a full-house day, not a single-child spotlight.
After the ceremony ended, the day didn’t slow down. Cardi and her family went to Latin American restaurant Romo in New Jersey, where Cardi and Kulture had mocktails, steak and fries. Blossom joined the ongoing celebrations by pushing her little brother in a stroller.
Fans filled the comment sections with the same warmth—praising Cardi as a mother and reacting to Wave’s graduation pictures. One fan wrote: “Beautiful pics🎉🎊.” Another added: “Aawwww!!!. He’s so cute!. He’s your twin!!!. Congratulations baby boy!. 🥳♥️👏🏾👏🏾.” A third chimed in: “He is literally ur twin 😍congratulations 🌊😍.”.
Wave is one of Cardi B’s three children with her estranged husband, rapper Offset. She also shares Kulture and Blossom with Offset.
Cardi. whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar. has spoken openly about how motherhood lives in her head even when she’s not actively with her kids. Shortly after announcing her fourth pregnancy—a baby boy whose name she has not publicly revealed—she opened up during an appearance on Angie Martinez’s IRL Podcast. In that conversation, she said, “Your kids never leave your mind,” adding: “Not for a second. You think about them all day.” She also described motherhood as “really hard” and “a nonstop job. ” saying it was “whether you have money or not.”.
Her feelings show up in the way she marked Wave’s day, too. When Wave turned 3. Cardi wrote on Instagram that she was nervous at first about having a boy. explaining: “I was soo happy when I found I was having a baby then all of a sudden I got so scared when I found out I was having a boy. I’m such a girly girl.” She followed that with a message that sounded less like a reaction and more like a promise: “You make it easy tho getting into that sporty mom bag … I’ll always have your back. front and sides.”.
Now, at preschool graduation, Wave’s “sporty mom bag” is still getting the same kind of attention—just with a certificate in hand and a family cheering him on.
