Cara Delevingne Confirms Amber Heard Romance Claims

Cara Delevingne says she and Amber Heard were “entangled” during the divorce period from Johnny Depp, adding that Depp was “driven crazy by jealousy.” Asked about the affair allegations tied to an earlier defamation case, she confirmed the timeline—while stres
Cara Delevingne didn’t wait long to step into the middle of the Amber Heard-Johnny Depp storm. On Monday. during an episode of The Louis Theroux Podcast. the Paper Towns star was asked directly about “the Johnny Depp thing” — the web of claims tied to Heard’s relationship rumors and infidelity allegations.
Delevingne’s version lands on a timeline that tries to clear one part of the story while keeping another very much in play. She said nothing was happening between her and Heard “at that point,” adding that it only changed “later, after they divorced.”
But she also described her closeness with Heard as something that didn’t start with the breakup. “We were close for a long time,” Delevingne said. When Theroux brought up the divorce period, she said, “Then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were entangled.”
The question on the table wasn’t only about timing. Delevingne was responding to the wider affair narrative that has followed Heard for years — including the claims Depp’s legal team sought to use in the defamation lawsuit tied to Heard’s 2018 essay about an unnamed abusive ex.
That lawsuit centered on allegations that the unnamed ex had cheated and that there was a “three-way affair” involving Delevingne and Elon Musk. In the case. a witness named Josh Drew — described as the ex-husband of Aquaman star’s friend Raquel “Rocky” Pennington — testified under oath that he heard from his ex-wife that Heard was having an affair with Delevingne while she was married to Depp. Drew also alleged the two women were involved with Elon Musk, with Musk reportedly dating Heard in July 2016.
Delevingne’s comments today don’t directly repeat the legal language. Instead, she acknowledged the “entangled” period during Heard and Depp’s divorce and responded to Theroux’s mention of Elon with a simple, pointed reply: “There you go.”
Musk, for his part, has previously insisted he has “never been intimate” with Cara, calling them nothing more than friends. He also said he “only started going out” with Heard “about a month after her divorce filing,” and that they never slept together while she was married to Depp.
Delevingne also gave her perspective on Depp himself. She said Depp was “pretty driven crazy by jealousy.”
For context. Heard had filed for divorce from Depp in 2016. and romance rumors followed after the two women were repeatedly seen spending time together. Delevingne’s new comments tie that social chemistry to earlier work and proximity. She explained that she was working on London Fields with Heard and Depp before the divorce. Production on London Fields ran from 2013 to 2015, and it premiered three years later.
Delevingne also made the sharp boundary clear: “Nothing was happening at that point.” Nothing, she said, occurred between her and Heard during the marriage.
Heard hasn’t addressed Delevingne’s comments so far. After her legal battle with Depp. she has kept a low profile. while Delevingne has now brought the private timeline into public view—at a moment when the story around infidelity. jealousy. and overlapping relationships is still very much alive for anyone who followed the case.
