A pair of Canadians will play in the Presidents Cup.
Corey Conners, from Listowel, Ont., and Nick Taylor, from Abbotsford, B.C., were named captain’s picks by International Team captain Geoff Ogilvy on Tuesday.
Conners will play in his third consecutive Presidents Cup while Taylor will play in his first.
Conners just missed out on one of six International Team spots in the biennial event, finishing seventh in the rankings.
Si Woo Kim, Tom Kim, Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott, Ryan Fox and Hideki Matsuyama were the automatic qualifiers for the International Team, which faces Team USA from Sept. 24 to 27 in Medinah, Ill.
The Americans have won the past 10 Presidents Cups.
Conners, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, was 59th in the FedExCup rankings this year and is ranked 54th in the world. Taylor has five PGA Tour titles and was 63rd in the FedExCup rankings.
