Brooks Nader’s parents approve Baywatch only with one-piece

Brooks Nader’s – Brooks Nader says her conservative parents were strict about swimwear growing up—but they’re fully on board with her starring role in FOX’s “Baywatch” reboot because the iconic red look is a one-piece.

When Brooks Nader stepped onto the red carpet at the 2026 FOX Upfront in New York City, the iconic “Baywatch” red swimsuit wasn’t just a costume—it was a flood of memories.

Nader, the Sports Illustrated model and actress, told Fox News Digital that slipping into the legendary suit still feels unreal as she prepares to star in FOX’s “Baywatch” reboot premiering in January 2027. But the real twist came when she explained who actually approves most of it.

“Well, they’re pumped about ‘Baywatch’ because it’s a one-piece [swimsuit] — we weren’t allowed to wear two-piece bikinis growing up,” Nader said on the red carpet. “So they’re like, ‘You’re following the family rules. You’re wearing a one-piece [swimsuit]. So, we’re all good.’”

For Nader, that approval lands with its own kind of comedy. She described crying every time she puts the red suit on—part disbelief, part being thrown back into her past. “I mean, I cry every time I put the red suit on, because I’m like, ‘This is my work uniform! What?’” she said.

She added that the reaction from her sisters has been its own unofficial soundtrack: “And the wildest [reaction]? Maybe my sisters’ raging jealousy when I put it on and rub it in their faces.”
