Brooklyn Beckham skips dad David’s Walk of Fame

Brooklyn Beckham was absent from David Beckham’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Friday after publicly accusing his parents of trying to ruin his marriage—while Victoria Beckham and their children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, attended.
Every member of the Beckham family turned up for Friday’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony honoring David Beckham—except one.
Brooklyn Beckham was missing as Victoria Beckham and siblings Romeo, Cruz and Harper commemorated David Beckham’s star on the Walk of Fame.
The absence landed just months after Brooklyn publicly accused his parents of trying to destroy his marriage. Brooklyn’s conflict has played out publicly, including through social media posts aimed at his parents’ alleged actions toward his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn has said he felt he was being pushed and controlled. In Instagram Stories posted in January, he wrote, “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” and added that he had no interest in reconciling with his family.
He also alleged that his parents “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name,” insisting that their behavior changed after he refused. “They have never treated me the same since,” he wrote.
At the ceremony itself, the Beckham family was surrounded by David’s celebrity circle. Eva Longoria was among the stars in attendance, along with James Corden, Landon Donovan, Robbie Keane and Kyle Martino.
The most surprising guest of the day was Tom Cruise, who rarely appears publicly in the Los Angeles area. He stepped up to the podium to pay tribute to David as a longtime friend, telling the crowd, “What makes David’s story truly remarkable isn’t simply where he is today — it’s how it began.”
Cruise continued: “Every chapter of his life and career was built on the same thing: hard work and dedication. Long before the trophies, the sold-out stadiums, the global fame, the recognition, there was a young boy with a dream and the determination and discipline to earn everything that followed.”
He then explained why a footballer’s name belongs on the Hollywood Walk of Fame alongside actors, musicians and entertainers. “That’s why this feels like such a fitting place for us to celebrate him,” Cruise said. “His is a Hollywood story: a boy who believed in something bigger than himself. had to work for every opportunity he received. and went on to influence his sport. shape culture around the world and create opportunities for generations who followed.”.
Cruise added that success had not changed David’s character: “And for all the records, achievements, and recognition, the thing that has impressed me most is that success has never changed who he is. The same core values that got him there are the ones he lives by today.”
He also acknowledged Victoria directly. “Through much of that extraordinary journey, Victoria has been by his side, and together they have built a beautiful family, raised incredible children and created a life that is every bit as meaningful as the career we’re celebrating today,” he said.
“To David, congratulations to you,” Cruise continued. “You earned this, and nobody, and I mean nobody, deserves it more, my friend.”
When David Beckham took the stage, he looked back on what Hollywood meant to him growing up. “The cinema was a huge treat for me and my sisters, and like all boys my age, I was obsessed with action heroes,” he said.
Standing in front of Tom Cruise, “the greatest movie star of our time,” David added, “is, quite frankly, mind-blowing.”
He also noted the personal connection between their lives and careers, saying, “The fact that mine and Victoria’s first movie date was Jerry Maguire is a pretty mad full-circle moment.”
David closed his remarks with gratitude for Cruise’s friendship. “Tom, I am so grateful for your friendship,” he said. “You welcomed us to L.A. 20 years ago, and you have been a loyal friend and an inspiration to me ever since. Your energy. professionalism. and commitment to what you love and your audience is unrivaled. and I’m so honored that you are here today with me.”.

So Brooklyn didn’t show up… shocking 🙄
I mean if your parents are “trying to ruin your marriage” that’s kind of a big deal. But also, it’s a Walk of Fame thing, like you’d think he could just go for 2 hours? Idk the whole family drama is exhausting.
Wait I thought it said Victoria AND the kids were there, so why are they acting like he “skipped” it? Maybe he was there but just not photographed? Also Tom Cruise being there feels like a random flex like he’s friends with the whole city.
The bribe thing about signing away rights to his name is wild… but isn’t David Beckham like the one with the big brand? So are they saying Brooklyn has a legal right to “Brooklyn Beckham” or whatever? Anyway, missing the ceremony probably won’t help him look innocent, even if he’s right. Families love fighting in public now I guess.
