Broner Vows Another Title, Even After Long Layoff

Broner vows – Adrien Broner says he still wants “1 more world title” before retiring, speaking during a Miami livestream that also revealed his plans to train and fight soon—despite party vibes and moment-to-moment discipline.

Adrien Broner didn’t sound like a man winding down.

On a yacht in Miami. riding the momentum of a lively livestream. the former four-division world champion told viewers he still believes he has more work to do in boxing. “I’m gonna give y’all another run with this shit,” Broner said during a livestream with DeenTheGreat. “I think about this shit every day, I gotta win 1 more world title before I retire.”.

His message landed with extra weight because Broner hasn’t fought in more than a year. He last stepped into the ring in June 2024, dropping a 10-round unanimous decision to Blair Cobbs. Since then. he’s stayed active online. but the comments from the trip pointed to unfinished business—training talk. return talk. and a goal that still hasn’t moved.

During the same stream, Broner repeatedly referenced his upcoming return and what would come next in the gym. “Tomorrow we’re going to hit the gym in the morning,” he said.

He also described how he planned to handle himself through the day. “Sober the whole day, chat,” Broner said.

Then came the admission that undercut the promise. Later in the stream, Broner admitted he may not be able to stick to it. “I don’t think I’m gonna stay sober, gang. I ain’t gonna lie.”

The picture that emerged wasn’t clean or predictable. It carried the same push-and-pull that has followed Broner through much of the last several years: belief that a comeback is still possible, mixed with distractions and uncertainty that can derail momentum.

What Broner emphasized most was that retirement still isn’t the plan. The former champion said retirement is not on his mind yet, and that winning one more world title remains the goal before he walks away from boxing for good.

  1. He says sober the whole day then says he won’t stay sober… sounds like the usual story lol

  2. Not even gonna lie, I stopped watching him after that Blair Cobbs loss. How’s he gonna get “1 more world title” if he hasn’t fought forever? Feels like empty hype on a yacht.

  3. Wait so he’s training and fighting Saturday but also “tomorrow gym in the morning”? Like which one is it, the stream got timelines messed up or what. Also the whole sober chat thing makes it sound like he’s already losing focus.

  4. I swear these guys always say one more title right before it turns into another year off. Like maybe he’s scared to retire because of the money or whatever. If he really wanted it he wouldn’t be on a yacht living like it’s party time.
