The NFL season is very close for the Seattle Seahawks, and their new offense might look like someone else’s approach. Furthermore, Brian Fleury had a hilarious reaction to seeking advice before the showdown against the 49ers, according to a post on X by Ari Meirov.

“#Seahawks OC Brian Fleury, formerly with the #49ers, on whether he’s asked for advice before his first game as a play caller Wednesday night: “Unfortunately, the people I would seek advice from aren’t really interested in seeing us do well.”

Seahawks hoping for good offensive start

The Seahawks will try to defend their 2025 title, and it will take more offensive fireworks to get there. The unit will look different in several ways, according to Sports Illustrated.

“One of the first immediate differences is the shifts and motions of certain players,” Michael Hanich wrote. “This will likely include running backs, one of the tight ends on the field, or a dynamic wide receiver.”

Also, the Seahawks will likely employ multiple tight ends more often. There could also be a window of opportunity for Rashid Shaheed to stand out more. He spent a lot of time with quarterback Sam Darnold in the offseason, according to sports.mynorthwest.com.

“That helps a ton, just getting timing down,” Shaheed said. “Just being able to work with your quarterback outside of the facility is always a good thing. I’m building chemistry, getting timing down, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build through this time in camp.”

Head coach Mike Macdonald said he expects good things from the duo.

“I think they’ve picked up right where they left off,” Macdonald said. “I know they put in some work this offseason, as well (as) throughout the summer, and that’s definitely paying dividends.”

The Seahawks might not be quite as solid this season on defense. So anything extra that the offense can bring could keep them in the hunt once again for the big game.
