CK Votes: Brian F. Machado seeks Ward 6 seat

Ward: Ward 6 Why are you running for council? I am running because I care deeply about Chatham-Kent and the people who call it home. I’m an everyday working man who has spent the last 25 years serving this community through business, employment, and community involvement. Chatham-Kent has given so much to me and my family, and I want the opportunity to give even more back. What are some important issues you plan to address if elected? Although I am running in Ward 6, I

believe all communities throughout Chatham-Kent – including Chatham, Blenheim, Wallaceburg, Tilbury, Wheatley, Ridgetown, and our rural communities – deserve to feel heard, respected, and supported. What is good for one part of Chatham-Kent benefits us all. If elected, I will focus on transparency, communication, homelessness, responsible growth, community safety, and supporting both residents and businesses. I believe we need to listen more, reflect on the concerns people are sharing, and work together to find real solutions that benefit the entire community.

  1. Transparency and communication sounds nice but what’s he actually gonna do, like are they gonna publish every ticket or something? Homelessness is such a big word. I feel like candidates just list it every time.

  2. Wait so he’s running in Ward 6 but talking about Chatham and Blenheim and all that… isn’t that like different cities? I don’t get how CK Votes works tbh. Also “responsible growth” means they won’t build anything new? Or it means they’ll keep it all controlled like before.

  3. Homelessness + community safety + supporting businesses… sounds like he’s trying to hit every buzzword. I hope he’s not just selling the idea of listening while nothing changes. If he really wants transparency, then how about showing budgets and results instead of speeches. Everyday working man my butt, half these council people were always connected somehow.
