Brenda Song shares honest thoughts on Myles Garrett joining LA this season

Actress Brenda Song was in the booth during the broadcast of the Rams game and gave her thoughts on the acquisition of reigning NFL defensive player of the year Myles Garrett. Garrett was acquired over the offseason in a blockbuster trade that included former Rams defensive standout Jared Verse.

When asked who she’s most excited to watch on the field this season, Song made it simple.

“I mean, obviously, the fact that we have the reigning defensive player of the year playing with the MVP, it’s so exciting, and Myles Garrett is just incredible. It is really, I feel so lucky that we get to see him in this stadium, and also I’m just excited. I miss football so much, guys.”

The song’s excitement for Garrett joining the Rams makes sense, as he’s had a stellar season that earned him Defensive Player of the Year honors. He finished the 2025 season with 60 tackles, with 43 of them solo tackles, 23 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 pass deflection. Garrett is expected to be a key addition to a Rams team that boasts reigning MVP Matthew Stafford.

The Rams were close to their second Super Bowl appearance in the past few seasons, and their third in the past ten years, before they ran into the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. They ultimately lost 31 to 27. Now the Rams look to find themselves in contention in the NFC once again, with Garrett making an immediate impact on their defensive front.

Garrett will make their debut on Thursday, September 10th against the San Francisco 49ers.
