Boston police ask for help finding missing 15-year-old

missing 15-year-old – Boston police are seeking the public’s help to locate Lafayette LaGrant-Gomes, a 15-year-old Dorchester boy last seen Tuesday afternoon near Blue Hill Avenue.

When Lafayette LaGrant-Gomes didn’t come home, Boston police say they began treating his absence as a missing person case—and now detectives are urging the public to come forward with any information.

LaGrant-Gomes, 15, was last seen around 1 p.m. Tuesday near 965 Blue Hill Ave. in Dorchester, according to the Boston Police Department. He was reported missing on Wednesday after leaving his home and failing to return, police said.

Investigators described him as a Black male, roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. Police said he has brown eyes and black hair, and that he is known to visit Columbia Road, Downtown Crossing, Ames Street, and Harambee Park.

The case is being investigated by detectives assigned to District B-3, which covers Mattapan and Dorchester. Police say they are actively looking into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
