Major League Baseball announced on Sunday night that the Blue Jays will take on the Chicago Cubs in the 2027 Little League Classic on Thursday, Aug. 19. Toronto will be the home team.
The game can be seen on Sportsnet at 7:10 p.m. ET / 4:10 p.m. PT.
It will mark the 10th year of the showcase from the home of the Little League World Series.
Commissioner Rob Manfred made the announcement in the fourth inning of the matchup between the Braves and Brewers in the 2026 iteration of the event.
The Little League Classic has become an annual staple of the summer calendar as two teams make their way to Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field to play in front of players and families of the teams competing at the Little League World Series.
Previous matchups included the Mets vs. Mariners (2025), Yankees vs. Tigers (2024), Phillies vs. Nationals (2023), Orioles vs. Red Sox (2022), Guardians vs. Angels (2021), Pirates vs. Cubs (2019), Mets vs. Phillies (2018 and the Pirates vs. Cardinals (2017).
