Blue Jays release 2027 spring-training schedule

It’s never too early to start thinking about next season — even in the midst of a playoff race.
To that end, MLB released its 2027 spring-training schedule on Friday, with all 30 teams set to begin action Feb. 19.
The Toronto Blue Jays will open their Grapefruit League slate when split-squad action sees them host the New York Yankees and visit the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Toronto’s 29-game schedule concludes at home against the Philadelphia Phillies on March 21. A day earlier, the Blue Jays will take on the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field, their AL East rival’s regular-season home.
The Blue Jays will then begin their regular season with a six-game road trip against the Yankees and Baltimore Orioles before their home opener April 2 against the Seattle Mariners.
Of course, with the collective bargaining agreement set to expire Dec. 1 and a lengthy labour battle expected to follow, the early parts of the 2027 season may be up in the air.
For now, the Blue Jays’ full focus is on their wild-card push, which continues Friday as they open a series against the Kansas City Royals (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT).
