Blood trail horrifies residents in South Boston

Police say the blood came from a man who had a leg injury. However, details on what happened remain scant.
Graphic photos shared on Reddit show a long trail of blood stains extending down Dorchester Street in South Boston on Saturday, worrying residents about what happened.
In response, the Boston Police Department said Monday that the scene stemmed from a man’s leg injury.
At about 8 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a radio call to investigate a property near Dorchester and West Seventh streets.
When officers arrived, Boston EMS personnel were transporting a man with a leg injury to a local hospital.
Police say the circumstances leading up to the injury are still under investigation.
It remains unclear what led to the man walking along the street with the injury. One X post shows that a crew was sent on Sunday to clean up the blood.
