When acting Attorney General Todd Blanche sat down on a Sunday appearance, he did more than address a political talking point. He endorsed the premise that the 2020 election was “rigged,” then pivoted to what the Department of Justice is still trying to confirm: whether “the right people voted.”
The exchange came after the host played a clip featuring Chief of Staff Susie Wiles teasing that “new revelations” about the 2020 election were forthcoming. The host then asked Blanche directly: “Do you have any evidence that the election was rigged?”
Blanche answered that there was “a ton of evidence” that the election was rigged against Donald Trump while Trump was still in office.. He said the matter “is not something that DOJ needs to tell you about. ” adding that “there’s been evidence about that for many. many years.” He then pointed to current federal activity. describing “multiple investigations going on in Arizona. in Georgia — in Fulton County. Georgia. ” and saying. “And that’s exactly what we’re looking at.”
Blanche said the investigations have stretched for more than half a decade.. He attributed the delay to the claim that those he described as election “riggers” are “very good at hiding what they’re doing.” When pressed on what the work is ultimately meant to determine. Blanche said investigators are hoping to find out whether “the right people voted.” He did not offer a timeline for when any results might emerge. and he also would not state plainly whether he believes the 2020 election was stolen.
“I assure the American people that as soon as we have something to say for it, whether it’s charges, whether it’s a report, whether it’s the results of an investigation, the American people will learn about what we uncovered,” Blanche said.
The pattern in the remarks was consistent: Blanche affirmed the rigged premise, then linked it to ongoing DOJ investigations in Arizona and Fulton County, and finally framed the objective as identifying whether the “right people” cast ballots, without setting any deadline for public disclosure.
