Birdfy Smart Feeder drops $67 in Memorial Day sale

The Birdfy Smart Bird Feeder is on Memorial Day sale with $67 off, bringing its AI-powered bird identification, app alerts, and live video access—plus 1080p footage, night vision, and lifetime cloud storage—into reach for summer birdwatching.

A new front-yard visitor used to mean binoculars, a steady hand, and hoping you caught the right moment. Now it can mean tapping a phone.

During Memorial Day sales, the Birdfy Smart Bird Feeder is available with $67 off. The pitch is simple: the feeder captures birds on camera and alerts you when one stops by, then uses built-in AI to identify what’s visiting.

Over one in three adults in the U.S. enjoys birdwatching, or birding, and Birdfy is aiming right at that impulse—only with more tech. Its AI can identify more than 6. 000 bird species. and it can even indicate whether the bird at your feeder is male or female. When a bird arrives. you’re notified through the app that a visitor has shown up. and you can tune in live to the video.

You can also share that video experience. Birdfy supports guest access to the video feed, so friends and family can jump in if they’re also into birds.

The camera setup leans into home-birdwatcher quality. The feeder provides 1080p FHD video and 8X digital zoom. For birds that show up after dark—an owl, for example—there’s full-color night vision.

Storage is handled two ways, which matters if you end up replaying a great moment. The device includes unlimited lifetime free cloud storage and 30-day video retention, and it also supports SD cards up to 128GB for saving videos and photos directly on the device.

It’s the kind of gift that can turn into a daily habit. One writer says they gifted the Birdfy Smart Bird Feeder to their mom this past Christmas. and she “hasn’t stopped talking about it since.” They also say the video quality is “actually really good. ” and that she’s been able to spot rare birds like a purple martin.

The deal being promoted comes in at 35% off, and the product is rated a 4/5 deal under ZDNET’s deal-rating system. On Amazon, it has an average rating of 4.5 out of more than 1,400 customer reviews.

Deals can sell out or expire at any time, and the outlet warns that if the price changes or the offer ends, it will keep finding and updating other chances to save at ZDNET.com.

  1. So it’s $67 off… cool I guess. But if it can ID birds why do I still feel like I’m gonna get it wrong? Also 1080p doesn’t mean it’ll be clear in my yard with the tree shadows.

  2. Idk about the “male or female” thing. Like it’s probably just guessing based on colors or whatever. And then people act like it’s science lol. I’ll stick to binoculars, at least those don’t have AI that can be wrong.

  3. My aunt would love this, she’s always yelling at squirrels like they’re criminals. But does it really save forever with “lifetime cloud” or is that like the other apps where it changes later? Also I don’t trust digital zoom, it sounds like it’ll just get grainy when you actually need it. Still kinda tempted tho for the night vision part because I swear owls show up at the weirdest time.
