Big Show drops to 383 pounds after 11 surgeries

Paul Wight — better known as Big Show — says he’s down to 383 pounds as he recovers from 11 surgeries, with a goal of reaching 350. The AEW and WWE icon has also joked about wanting to become a Calvin Klein “big and tall” underwear model.

Paul Wight has never been easy to miss in a crowd. Standing at 7ft, the man once billed as “standing seven feet tall and weighing more than 400 pounds” has spent years towering over arenas.

But now, Big Show’s latest update is about what’s been shrinking behind the spectacle. Recovering from surgeries and still not setting foot into the ring for a long time, Wight has shared fresh progress as he continues his weight loss journey.

In a recent conversation with TalkSport, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion said he’s “only 383 (pounds)” now and that he’s “lost some weight,” adding, “We’re doing good.” His target is clear: he wants to “get down to about 350,” a number that signals how far he believes he still has to go.

Along the way, Wight also let his imagination run. He said he has a dream of becoming a Calvin Klein underwear model. working toward it while pointing to the brand’s “big and tall section.” He even narrowed the idea further with his own phrasing: “It’s kind of a big and tall and short. if you put it all together.”.

Just weeks after those remarks, the part-time AEW commentator posted a new physique update on Instagram. He wrote that he’s “starting to see real results. ” and added. “Today is better than yesterday.” The post came with his goal in mind — “I’m on my way to being a super model!” — and a quick joke to soften the grind. Then he turned back to the reality of what his body has been through. saying he was “grateful to be able to push myself this hard after 11 surgeries.”.

In the photos, Wight looked visibly bigger with detailed shoulders and chest, the kind of transformation fans don’t usually see from a distance — especially from someone whose career is built on mass and presence.

The post also sparked a wave of support from the wrestling world. drawing positive comments from both current and ex-WWE Superstars who said they were in awe of Big Show’s transformation. The update resonated beyond one superstar’s story as well: WWE’s Bronson Reed is also been on a weight loss transformation journey. a similar arc fans can recognize right now.

One message threaded through everything Wight shared. from the TalkSport interview to the Instagram post: the surgeries may have kept him out of the ring. but the work isn’t paused. He’s chasing 350 pounds. showing results in public. and even leaning into the idea that once he’s built himself back up again. he wants to try something completely outside the squared circle — even if it’s just a dream delivered with a joke.

  1. He’s really doing the whole Calvin Klein big and tall thing now? Honestly good for him but 11 surgeries?? I don’t even know how you come back from that.

  2. Wait so he’s down to 383 but he says only 350 like that’s the goal… I thought surgery would like, fix it faster? Also didn’t he used to weigh way more than 400, like permanently? not sure what counts as “lost” if it’s after all this medical stuff.

  3. This reminds me of that Bronson Reed guy losing weight too, like everyone’s suddenly on a diet for wrestlers. But 11 surgeries sounds terrifying, like I hope he’s not rushing back to the ring. The “super model” line is wild though, I can’t picture Big Show in underwear ads, but if it’s big and tall then sure I guess.
