A 30-year-old bicyclist was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in Lynn on Monday night, authorities said.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Broad Street and Silsbee Street, involving a bicycle and a 2025 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck, the Essex County District Attorney’s office said in a statement.
The bicyclist was taken by ambulance to Salem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the DA’s office.
Officials said they are withholding the bicyclist’s identity until his family has been notified, but noted he was 30 years old.
The Lynn Police Department and State Police are investigating the incident.
Authorities did not specify whether charges have been filed or if any arrests have been made.
