Beach House have offered their take on Robert Lester Folsom’s ‘April Suzanne’. It accompanies the announcement of a 50th anniversary special edition of the Georgia singer-songwriter’s Music and Dreams, which was originally recorded and self-released in 1976 before finding a cult audience once it was reissued by Anthology Recordings in 2010. “We love so many Robert Lester Folsom songs and are very pleased to be included on the 50th anniversary edition of Music and Dreams,” Beach House said in a statement. “We had a lot of fun trying to bring such a classic as ‘April Suzanne’ into our world.”
Music and Dreams: 50th Anniversary Edition is set for release on October 16, 2026. In addition to another cover by singer-songwriter Hannah Cohen, it includes a remastered treatment of the album alongside the original reel-to-reel demos, sourced by Folsom’s longtime collaborator Don Fleming. The material was mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Jessica Thompson.
