Barack Obama called Donald Trump a ‘hopeless idiot’ and ‘pathologic liar’ and Don Jr. a ‘moron,’ Dr. Anthony Fauci’s diary says

Former President Barack Obama privately criticized President Donald Trump and his son Donald Trump Jr. during a private 2021 phone call with Dr. Anthony Fauci, according to the former top infectious disease expert’s newly released diary entries.

Barack allegedly called Donald a “hopeless idiot” and a “pathologic[al] liar” and branded Don Jr. a “f****** moron” while offering support to Anthony as he faced attacks from Republicans over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wonderwall.com can report.

The comments were documented by Anthony in a November 2021 diary entry that was among more than 1,000 pages of pandemic-era records recently released by Sen. Rand Paul.

Anthony — who served as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 1984 to 2022 — explained in a journal entry that the former president reached out as the doctor was facing increasingly fierce attacks from Republicans over his handling of the pandemic.

During their conversation, Anthony told Barack about the attacks he was enduring, including Don Jr.’s sale of merchandise targeting him.

“I told President Obama about the crazy things that the far-right Republicans were doing including the fact that Donald Trump, Jr. had on his website the sale of sweatshirts and T-shirts to collect money for his campaign and on the T-shirts and sweatshirts it said ‘Fauci kills puppies,’” Anthony wrote.

According to Anthony’s account, Barack responded with some choice words about both Trumps.

“Obama said that Donald Trump junior is ‘A f****** moron.’ He apologized for using crude language but then went on to say that Donald Trump was a hopeless idiot who was a pathologic[al] liar,” Anthony wrote.

The slogan Don Jr. put on his merchandise stemmed from controversy over research involving beagle puppies that was published in PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases.

The study involved experiments in which puppies were exposed to sand flies while their heads were confined in mesh cages. Critics accused Anthony’s NIAID of funding the research, fueling outrage against the doctor.

But the journal later issued a correction clarifying that NIAID had not funded the experiments described in the paper.

Barack’s criticism wasn’t limited to Donald and Don Jr. According to Anthony’s diary, the former president was also frustrated that moderate Republicans weren’t publicly defending the doctor against attacks Barack believed were unfair.

“He was very upset that none of the moderate Republicans were actually speaking out on my behalf and were distancing themselves from all of this terrible slanderous behavior against me,” the former chief medical advisor to the president wrote.

Anthony described the conversation as one he wouldn’t soon forget.

“It was a great conversation that lasted for 25 minutes and he said that if he hears anything about movement in this direction, he will get back to me. It indeed was an incredibly memorable phone call,” he wrote.

The doctor had harsh words for Donald, too

The White House called former President Barack Obama ‘dishonest, divisive and destructive.’ By: MEGA

Barack wasn’t the only one whose unfiltered thoughts about Donald appeared in Anthony’s pandemic-era writings.

In a March 2021 entry, Anthony described Donald as an “obnoxious adolescent” as he documented his increasingly strained relationship with the GOP leader.

The diaries, which span 2019 to 2022, were discovered on government servers by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. before being turned over to Senate Republicans.

The White House fired back after Barack’s alleged remarks about the Trumps came to light.

“Barack Hussein Obama will go down as one of the most dishonest, divisive and destructive presidents in history,” White House spokesperson Davis Ingle told The Independent.
