In 24 games with Minnesota, he averaged 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and a steal. His shooting line stood out as well: 52.1 per cent from the field and 41.4 per cent from three.

What translated even more clearly was the postseason. Dosunmu lifted his scoring to 15.6 points while shooting 50 per cent across 10 playoff games. From beyond the arc, he posted a 42.5 per cent clip while averaging four attempts per game.

Now, Minnesota is set to build around that impact. Dosunmu will join Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels as the next defining trio for the Timberwolves—an effort to turn a deadline acquisition into a cornerstone, and to keep its momentum from the playoffs headed into the years ahead.
