Authorities searching for driver in deadly Framingham hit-and-run

The victim was a 39-year-old man from Framingham, the DA said.

Authorities are looking for a driver who fled after hitting and killing a pedestrian in Framingham on Sunday evening. 

Shortly before 9 p.m., officers responded to 180 Irving St., where they found a man suffering from serious injuries, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office said in a press release. 

Officers provided aid to the victim before he was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, where he later died, according to the DA’s office.

Officials have not released the victim’s identity, but said he was a 39-year-old from Framingham. 

The driver who hit the pedestrian fled the scene and remains unidentified, Ryan’s office said. The vehicle involved was a gray 2016 Volkswagen GTI.

The DA’s office, Framingham Police Department, and State Police are investigating the incident, officials said. 

Authorities urged anyone who witnessed the crash or has information regarding the incident to contact Framingham detectives at 508-532-5924.
