Authorities have identified person found dead in Cambridge pond

Local News
No foul play is suspected, authorities said.
The body discovered earlier this month at Fresh Pond in Cambridge was identified as a 41-year-old man, authorities said.
The body was found shortly after noon on Aug. 11 along the pond’s shoreline. The Cambridge Fire Department was able to remove him from the water, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Cambridge police said in a joint statement on Friday.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the person was a “41-year-old male who was known to be in the area,” officials said.
The preliminary investigation did not reveal any obvious trauma to the body, and foul play is not currently suspected, according to the DA’s office.
Officials previously said preliminary findings suggested the body had been in the water “for an extended period of time.”
Authorities did not release the man’s identity.
