For anyone who lives in Apple Podcasts and already pays for Audible, the change is simple—and it’s the kind that makes your library feel smaller in the best way. Audible has launched a connected subscription that streams nearly 700 premium titles right inside Apple Podcasts, spanning 135 countries.
The catalog is built around Audible’s Originals—ad-free access to premium audio across true crime. investigative journalism. celebrity-led audio dramas. and personal growth series. Among the titles available are award-winning shows like Dr. Death and Hysterical. The lineup also includes star-driven productions such as Kerry Washington’s The Prophecy and The Big Lie, starring Jon Hamm.
Marshall Lewy, Head of Audible Content for North America, frames the move as meeting listeners where they already are. He said the intent is “by making select shows and episodes available widely. we have the opportunity to introduce new listeners to the extraordinary audio storytelling Audible offers right inside the Apple Podcasts app.”.
Connecting an Audible account to Apple Podcasts is designed to feel seamless. If you’re already an Audible member, you open Apple Podcasts and the subscription should link automatically. You can also search for any Audible premium show and connect from there, with no extra cost.
If you’re new to Audible, sign-up goes through Apple Podcasts: search for a show such as Dr. Death or OnlyFantasy, subscribe via the Audible app, and the membership then works across both platforms.
The connected subscription is already live for US and UK members. Australia, Japan, and Canada are scheduled to join in June 2026.
Apple Podcasts isn’t standing still either. Its iOS 26.4 update brings native video streaming, Picture-in-Picture, and offline downloads, alongside dynamic ad insertion for creators. And on the Audible side, there’s a new Standard membership plan priced at $8.99 per month for first-time listeners.
