Armed man dead after Chandler officer shoots shotgun

Chandler officer – Chandler police say an officer fired multiple rounds after a man with a shotgun was seen outside a home during a reported domestic incident. The man later died at the scene; no one else was hurt.
Around 10:30 a.m. in a neighborhood off McQueen Road near Galveston Street—between Ray Road and Chandler Boulevard—Chandler police responded to reports of a domestic incident.
The first officer on scene reported seeing a man armed with a shotgun outside a home, with a woman sitting in a nearby vehicle. Officers demanded the man drop the shotgun. A Chandler officer then fired multiple rounds, hitting the man.
Officers performed life-saving measures before Chandler Fire Department personnel arrived. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified him as Jeremiah Louis Partridge, 32. Officials said no one else was injured.
The Mesa Police Department will investigate the shooting as part of the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team, and no additional details were provided.
