Ariana Grande didn’t just hit pause on the “Eternal Sunshine Tour.” On Monday, she took to Instagram to apologize for delaying three upcoming concert dates, framing the change as a safety-first decision after technical difficulties showed up on the road.

“ We are so sorry for these unfortunate scheduling changes,” Grande wrote on Instagram Monday. “This was our best and safest option as these challenges with production have come to our attention.” She added that safety is “first and foremost. ” and that the goal is making sure fans “see the show how it is intended to run.”.

The schedule shifts land in Boston and Brooklyn. Brooklyn’s Sunday, July 12 show at Barclays Center moves to Tuesday, July 14. Boston’s Wednesday, July 22 date at TD Garden shifts to Thursday, July 23. And the Friday, July 24 Boston performance moves to Sunday, July 26.

Grande’s note also described what her team concluded after traveling with the elaborate staging. As the “Eternal Sunshine” production moved from Oakland to Los Angeles to Austin. her team determined it needed more time to construct and deconstruct the staging. saying that timing would be best for “fans. crew and performers.”.

That choice comes with a reminder of what happened earlier. Grande’s first night of her Los Angeles stops at Crypto.com Arena on June 13 included technical difficulties. including a centerpiece curtain of LED screens failing to open and close properly. At the end of the show, Grande addressed the issue directly onstage.

“This has been such a special night. I can tell you how overwhelmed I feel. Thank you so much for showing us so much love. ” Grande said from the lip of the stage toward the end of the performance. She then spoke to the malfunction: “Also thank you for your understanding with our screens, our little tech difficulties. I’m sorry, it’s like live theater. That’s fun to me. Do you know what I mean?. I’m weird in that way. I would love that. ‘I saw the one where the thing was broken.’ Anyway, thank you for your understanding.”.

The delayed dates now put more breathing room around the production. but they also spotlight how quickly a live show can be upended by hardware—and how much the performers and crew have to adjust in real time. Grande. for her part. made the message personal in her apology: “Thank you so much for your understanding and I cannot wait to see you.”.

  1. Wait so it’s moved from Friday to Sunday in Boston?? I already took off work on the 24th. They say it’s safety first but like… what was the safety issue, the screens?

  2. Not gonna lie, I thought “Eternal Sunshine” was just the vibe, not a whole machine. Like how does the curtain of LED screens mess up and then they need more time to deconstruct? Doesn’t that happen every show lol.

  3. I saw clips of her LA show and those screens not opening looked kinda scary?? But also she said it’s like live theater and “that’s fun to me”… good for her, I guess. Meanwhile people have travel plans to Barclays and TD Garden and now it’s two days later. Just refund if it’s that unsafe, don’t say it’s safest option and leave everyone holding the bag.
