Both teams have their own form of motivation entering Saturday afternoon’s showdown in the United Center, but injuries could get in the way. There were some questions surrounding the status of Fever building blocks Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, both of whom have been managing ailments this season. The Sky will have a mighty difficult time beating an Indy squad that is close to full strength, especially given the latest news regarding leading scorer Sydney Taylor.

Status of Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Sydney Taylor for Fever-Sky clash
Clark (back) and Boston (knee) are listed as probable on the injury report, while Taylor is unavailable for Chicago due to a groin injury. The Sky are also still without six-time All-WNBA selection Skylar Diggins, who is nursing a lingering knee issue, so this could be a tough day on West Madison Street.
A healthy Fever team could be especially dangerous following their recent shortcomings. Caitlin Clark has been sizzling this summer, but she was inefficient and made multiple costly mistakes in Thursday’s 86-84 overtime loss to the Aces. The MVP candidate missed two free throws late and had eight turnovers, including the one that ultimately led to Chelsea Gray’s stunning buzzer-beater. She should have plenty of frustration to unload on the opposition.
Aliyah Boston should be positioned for a big outing as well. Fresh off a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double versus Vegas, the 2025 All-WNBA Second-Teamer has the opportunity to feast on the glass in Chicago. The Sky allow a league-worst 37.3 boards per contest.
With Clark and Boston likely to play, and breakout guard Sydney Taylor sidelined, the Fever will be expected to snag a W on the road. But there is no telling how they will respond after a humbling two-game stretch.
