‘The Odyssey’ star Anne Hathaway on Christopher Nolan

Anne Hathaway is bringing the dark character of Verity Crawford to the red carpet.
The “Verity” actress, who is pregnant with her third child, joined co-stars Josh Hartnett and Dakota Johnson at the film’s New York premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
For the red carpet event, Hathaway went for a dark glam look in a black Atelier Prabal Gurung gown featuring a strapless sweetheart bodice and form-fitting mermaid silhouette that showcased the star’s growing baby bump. The chiffon floral and crystal-embellished gown also featured a sparkling tulle train that extended from the bodice like a cape.
The “Devil Wears Prada” star topped off the elegant look with a slicked-back, ’60s-inspired bouffant hairstyle accessorized with a lacquered black beret at the top of her hand. She added some extra sparkle with teardrop diamond earrings.
In a busy year of red carpet premieres, Hathaway has displayed a streak of stunning maternity style looks, and it is not the first time she has turned to Gurung for a show-stopping look.
For the California premiere of “The End of Oak Street” in August, the actress sported another Gurung creation that captivated the internet. The look featured a satin baby-blue mock-neck top featuring a midriff hem that perfectly framed her bump, and a flowing cloak train paired with low-rise baggy jeans.
While the star received a lot of praise for the statement-making look, it also sparked internet chatter about whether or not her baby bump was real.
“What in the AI belly is going on here?!” an Instagram user commented on a post of Hathaway’s red carpet ensemble.
“It looks fake,” one Instagram user wrote, while another said, “I’m sorry, but it looks like a pregnancy suit, especially where her jeans go low.”
Addressing the rumors, Hathaway later shared a video of herself getting ready for the “The End of Oak Street” premiere, cleverly captioning her Instagram reel: “Fake hair, real bump. Enjoy The @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!”
