An Amber Alert was issued for the 3-month-old baby abducted in Alhambra on Friday. The California Highway Patrol activated the alert on behalf of the Alhambra Police Department after Cayden was last seen at approximately 5:25 p.m. Friday near Hampden Terrace and Sherwood Avenue.
Cayden was described as a baby about 21 inches long and weighing 17 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Authorities said Cayden was last seen wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt and green sweatpants.
Now, investigators are asking the public to help track a suspect believed to be carrying Cayden away. Cayden is believed to be with an unidentified suspect described as approximately 30 years old. 5 feet 10 inches tall. with a medium build. black hair and brown eyes. The suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue-and-black pants and carrying a black backpack.
Police also said the two may be traveling in a 2015 black Honda Civic with California license plate 7KFZ167.
Officials did not provide the relationship between the suspect and Cayden, if any.
Anyone with information regarding Cayden or the suspect was urged to call 911.
The CHP described Amber Alerts as “the most serious alerts we can issue involving children.” It said the alerts require specific evidence that a child is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.
