He didn’t wait for the cameras to settle. In the first part of the “Summer House” season ten reunion, which aired on Tuesday night (May 26), the conversation around Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke turned tense fast—especially once her romance with West Wilson became part of the discussion.

Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their relationship just weeks before the reunion was filmed. By the time the show aired, the reunion had already put their timeline under the microscope, including how it overlaps with Amanda’s separation from Kyle.

Amanda and Kyle Cooke confirmed they were separated after four years of marriage. and that split is now being played out on the spinoff “In the City.” In the latest episode. which aired right after the “Summer House” reunion. Amanda was looking at apartments as she prepared to move out of their shared home—framed around trying to help save their marriage last fall.

But the reunion brought a sharper complication: during the show, Amanda was still legally married in the eyes of the cast. When Amanda said, “you can’t help who you like or who you’re attracted to,” Ciara Miller pushed back.

“When you’re married, you can actually help it,” Ciara said.

Amanda responded, “I wasn’t married anymore, Ciara.”

That was the moment the divorce question came in. Ciara asked, “Are you guys actually legally? Have you guys filed [for divorce]?”

Amanda’s answer was direct. She revealed she has “attained counsel,” and that her attorney has reached out to Kyle, but “nothing else has moved forward since then.”

Sources say Kyle is letting Amanda initiate the divorce process, and it appears she has already started.

The reunion tension also circled back to the legal groundwork—or lack of it—between Amanda and Kyle. In “Summer House,” the couple did not sign a prenup, and during an upcoming episode of “In the City,” that topic will come up.

Even as the reunion addressed their current status, “In the City” already previewed how Amanda and Kyle discussed separation at home. In the trailer, there’s a moment between the two as they sit in their shared apartment talking about splitting up.

“We don’t have a prenup, but if you come for me, I’ll come for you,” Amanda says while holding one of their dogs.

Kyle replies, “That would be a losing battle,” and Amanda answers, “Are you threatening me?”

By the end of the first part of the “Summer House” reunion, the focus wasn’t just on who Amanda loves now—it was on what’s officially changed, what hasn’t, and what it means that “attained counsel” is in place, while the divorce itself appears to be still waiting on the next step.
