Amalia Williamson Says She Doesn’t Know About Season 5

Amalia Williamson, 26, opened up about whether she’ll return to Sullivan’s Crossing for a potential Season 5, saying she doesn’t know yet as she balances her filming schedule for Acorn TV’s You’re Killing Me.

The next time viewers see Lola on Sullivan’s Crossing, it may not be on their usual timeline.

Amalia Williamson — who plays Lola — is currently starring alongside Brooke Shields on Acorn TV’s You’re Killing Me, and when she spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about her future with Sullivan’s Crossing, her answer was simple: “I don’t know.”

Williamson, 26, said scheduling is the issue. She has to work around her filming schedule for You’re Killing Me, which was recently renewed. “It depends on when we film our second season,” she shared. “I don’t know. I would love to go back. I love my Sullivan’s Crossing family. I miss them.”

On Sullivan’s Crossing, Season 4 is airing on The CW. Viewers watched Lola (Williamson) confiding in Maggie (Morgan Kohan) and Sydney (Lindura Sappong) about potentially leaving the area. After that, Lola was absent from most of the season. It’s a storyline shift that now has real-world echoes, especially with the possibility of Season 5 hanging in the balance.

Kohan, 32, addressed the onscreen changes with a calm acceptance. “It’s always going going to be different dynamics,” she told Us Weekly. “One of the things that came out of not having Sully on the show was we did get all these wonderful new characters. I think it was really nice to build new dynamics.”.

That reference lands in a season that has already seen major adjustments behind the scenes. Us previously broke the news that Scott Patterson would not be reprising his role as Sully, before Patterson’s absence from every episode.

With all of that in the rearview, Kohan still made room for hope on Williamson’s behalf. “I was actually just with Amalia an hour ago — and her new baby — and they’re so freaking sweet. ” she gushed. “I obviously hope that she’s back and around. but she’s also off being a star on her own show so that’s fantastic.”.

While Williamson weighs Sullivan’s Crossing. she’s fully invested in her new project: Acorn TV’s You’re Killing Me. The series is set in a quaint New England town where bestselling novelist Allie forms an unlikely alliance with aspiring writer and podcaster Andi to find the killer of a close friend. according to the synopsis. Alongside Williamson and Shields. the show also stars Tom Cavanagh. Robert Bazzocchi. Jefferson Brown. Laura Kohoot. Gabriel Burrafato. Kate Drummond and Jason Diaz.

Williamson described Andi as the kind of role that fits her tastes. “Andi is the forensics of it all. I love that she was a famous podcaster for. like. a hot minute and then she has to start over. ” she told Us Weekly. “They are both starting fresh and I love true crime personally, too. I love murder mysteries, so I dove right in.”.

She called the project a “dream role. ” adding that Allie is “the people person” who handles interviews and learns what drives people. while Andi and Jack — who is played by Tom Cavanagh — bring the forensics and the missing piece together. “Allie is the people person where she gets the interviews and she finds out what people tick and she’s the motive queen. Then Andi is the forensics and Jack — who is played by Tom Cavanagh — so they need each other.”.

For now, viewers can catch You’re Killing Me as it continues on Acorn TV, with new episodes premiering every Monday. And as Sullivan’s Crossing drifts toward whatever Season 5 might look like, Williamson’s words linger in the uncertainty: “I don’t know.”
