For families counting down to June 19, 2026, the countdown now has a new backdrop: the inside of a plane.

Alaska Airlines is introducing a new “Toy Story 5” themed livery on Horizon Air. bringing the latest Disney and Pixar adventure into the everyday routine of flying. The airline describes the concept as “Toy meets Tech. ” and the creative tie-in is built directly around the film’s premise: Woody. voiced by Tom Hanks. Buzz Lightyear. voiced by Tim Allen. Jessie. voiced by Joan Cusack. and the rest of the gang’s familiar world is thrown off balance when they meet Lilypad.

Lilypad, voiced by Greta Lee, arrives as a brand-new tablet device—one that carries disruptive ideas about what’s best for Bonnie. The story asks a simple, emotionally loaded question: if the technology has new opinions, will playtime ever be the same?

The people behind the film are just as prominently featured in the announcement. “Toy Story 5” is directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton and co-directed by Kenna Harris. It’s produced by Lindsey Collins, p.g.a., and written by Stanton and Harris. The movie’s original score is by Oscar winner Randy Newman, returning to score his fifth “Toy Story” feature.

The theatrical release date is a key part of the bigger picture for travelers and fans alike. “Toy Story 5” releases exclusively in theaters on June 19, 2026.

This livery rollout also comes wrapped in the scale of Alaska’s broader airline footprint. Alaska Airlines. Hawaiian Airlines. and Horizon Air are subsidiaries of Alaska Air Group. and McGee Air Services is a subsidiary of Alaska Airlines. The group operates with hubs in Seattle, Honolulu, Portland, Anchorage, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco. Guests can book travel at alaskaair.com and hawaiianairlines.com.

For now. it’s a familiar cast stepping into a new setting—except this time. the new setting has a touchscreen. With “Toy meets Tech” at the center of the film. the airline’s themed plane is less about a one-time promotion and more about extending the story’s question into the real world of travel: what happens when a kid’s world shifts. and the toys have to adjust?.
