Alannah Keyser Apologizes After Love Island USA Removal

Removed from Love Island USA season 8 after old videos and comments resurfaced, Alannah Keyser broke her silence with a TikTok apology on June 27, saying the racial slur in an old clip isn’t in her vocabulary anymore.
Alannah Keyser didn’t stay silent for long.
Earlier this week, she was removed from season 8 of Peacock’s Love Island USA after past videos and social media comments surfaced showing her using the n-word.
On Saturday, June 27, Keyser posted a TikTok video addressing the controversy and apologizing for what she said in the past. She opened by explaining that she was coming online “to address some things that have been circulating online. ” then turned directly to a specific moment: a video of her singing along to a Roddy Ricch song that contains a racial slur.
“I’m sorry to whoever has seen that video and has been offended by it, that was never my intention,” Keyser said in the video. She added that the clip is from six years ago and emphasized that “that word is just not in my vocabulary anymore.”
Keyser also said she does not support racism or discrimination “of any kind,” and that she “never has.” She described the fallout as something that weighed on her: “When I first found out that these things were going around online, it really broke my heart, and I couldn’t do anything about it.”
She said the situation has been a learning moment for her, while also voicing regret that she didn’t get the chance to show who she is on the show. “It sucks that I didn’t get a chance to really show my personality and who I am,” she added.
Her exit landed in a tense period for the season. Days before season 8 of Love Island USA premiered, another contestant was kicked out of the competition for using a racial slur.
For Keyser, the apology is a direct attempt to confront what resurfaced online—and to draw a line between a past clip and where she says she stands now.

So she got kicked for saying the n-word, but it’s “not in my vocabulary anymore”?? ok.
I mean… if it’s from 6 years ago then why is everybody acting like she did it yesterday. Like people change. That said, still pretty bad to have it online. Peacock just needs drama I guess.
Wait I saw someone say she didn’t even SAY it, she was just singing along?? But the article says old videos show her using it. Either way, love island is always a mess. I hope they actually review stuff instead of posting random people on TikTok and then booting them.
Racism isn’t a trend but these shows act like it is. She apologizes on TikTok and everybody’s like “see she’s learned”… but she literally had a slur in her mouth in a Roddy Ricch song. And Roddy’s not exactly innocent either. Honestly I don’t even care what her “intention” was, just keep her off TV. Also why is Peacock always like 2 seconds away from another scandal.
