Alabama Football Hit With Injury Concern as WR Leaves Practice on Cart

The Alabama Crimson Tide were back out there for a modified A-Day session this Saturday, but the mood shifted pretty quickly. You could practically hear the collective hold-your-breath moment from the sidelines when Noah Rogers went down after an incomplete pass in the end zone. It wasn’t good.

He couldn’t put any weight on that left foot, which is always the worst sign, right? The trainers were out there fast, getting a brace on his leg before he was carted off. It’s a tough blow for a guy who was supposed to be a major part of the offense this coming season.

Kalen DeBoer had to address the elephant in the room afterward. “We’ll have to get evaluated here,” DeBoer said, keeping it vague. “Unfortunate with him getting dinged up. So, we’ll kind of see what that looks like. He’ll be able to get the MRIs and all that kind of stuff. We’ll see what happens. We’ll have more information here as we go through the spring and summer.”

Actually, you could tell the coach was trying to process it in real-time. Rogers isn’t just some random depth piece—he’s been a standout. Before arriving in Tuscaloosa, the kid started at Ohio State as a four-star recruit, then spent two years at NC State where he put up 441 yards and two scores over 13 games last season. It’s just frustrating because the guy was finally hitting his stride.

DeBoer specifically mentioned that Noah had been the most consistent receiver throughout these spring sessions—even citing those key short catches he’d been making to move the chains. When you lose that kind of reliability? It’s a mess.

We’re all just waiting on the MRI results now, or maybe the team knows more than they’re saying—I’m not sure. Either way, the chemistry he was building is on hold. Spring football is supposed to be about growth, but instead, now it’s just a waiting game for the medical staff to drop the news.
