Alabama Football Hit With Injury Concern as WR Leaves Practice on Cart

The Alabama Crimson Tide hit the field for what was supposed to be a routine A-Day style session on Saturday, but the mood shifted pretty fast. Kalen DeBoer’s group is looking to build momentum, though things hit a snag with transfer wide receiver Noah Rogers going down after an incomplete pass in the end zone.

He couldn’t put any weight on his left foot at all. Watching the medical staff haul him onto that cart while they braced his leg—honestly, it’s the last thing anyone wants to see in April. The grass was still damp from the morning humidity, and the whole sideline just went quiet for a second.

DeBoer addressed the situation shortly after the scrimmage ended, though he didn’t have much in the way of concrete answers. “We’ll have to get evaluated here,” the head coach said. “Unfortunate with him getting dinged up. So, we’ll kind of see what that looks like. He’ll be able to get the MRIs and all that kind of stuff.”

It’s a waiting game now. Or maybe not—we’ll see once the scans come back. Actually, I’m not sure how long the recovery timeline is, but DeBoer seemed like he was just trying to process the news himself.

Rogers has been a major part of the plans for 2026. After coming up as a four-star recruit at Ohio State and spending time with NC State—where he grabbed 33 passes for 441 yards last year—he was finally finding his rhythm here. DeBoer specifically called him out as a “consistent” force who moved the chains when the offense needed it most.

He really stood out lately. Maybe that’s why the staff is so concerned about the scan results, which should trickle out over the next few days as we head into the summer. Fingers crossed it’s just a minor setback, but you never really know until the doctors see the images. We’ll keep tracking this as Misryoum gets more updates from the facility.
