A’ja Wilson scripts WNBA milestone as Aces beat Sky

A’ja Wilson recorded 30 points, 15 rebounds, four steals and three blocks as the Las Vegas Aces beat the Chicago Sky 107-99 on Sunday, becoming the first player in WNBA history to reach those marks in a game.
CHICAGO — A’ja Wilson didn’t just dominate the matchup. She made it history.
Wilson finished with 30 points, 15 rebounds, four steals and three blocks as the Las Vegas Aces beat the Chicago Sky 107-99 on Sunday, becoming the first player in WNBA history to reach those marks in a single game.
The numbers came with precision. Wilson shot 8 for 14 from the field and 13 for 16 from the foul line for Las Vegas, which improved to 14-5 overall and 8-2 on the road. It was her 99th career game with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, putting her just behind Tina Charles, who has 109.
Wilson’s impact didn’t arrive in flashes—it carried through every phase. Jackie Young added 28 points and eight assists for the Aces. Young went 9 for 14 from the field and hit four 3-pointers. Chelsea Gray contributed 18 points, six rebounds and eight assists, while Chennedy Carter scored 11 off the bench.
Chicago had answers, but not enough for the full afternoon. Azura Stevens and Kamilla Cardoso each scored 24 points for the Sky. Cardoso went 10 for 15 from the field and added eight rebounds, and Stevens made three 3-pointers.
The game stayed close early. Las Vegas and Chicago were tied at 31 after the first quarter, before the Aces flipped the script in the second. They outscored the Sky 30-19 to take a 61-50 halftime lead they never surrendered.
Afterward, the win landed with momentum behind it. Las Vegas is 4-1 in its last five games.
The Aces turn to their next test quickly: they visit the New York Liberty on Tuesday. The Sky, meanwhile, travel to face the Las Vegas Aces again on Friday.

30-15-4-3?? That’s some video game stat line lol.
So she’s the first ever to do those stats in one game… but was it against the Sky like full strength? feels like teams always have “answers” until they don’t.
I don’t get why they say 99th career game like that matters more than the whole season. Like ok Tina Charles is 109 but Aces still only 14-5… basketball is weird. Either way Jackie Young 28 points is the real story.
“Outscored 30-19 in the second” so basically the refs made Chicago miss or something? Also they said 4-1 last five, but then Sky play them again Friday like it’s the same schedule every year. I just wanna know if Kamilla Cardoso was double-teamed the whole time, sounds like it.
