In his message, Brown opened with “Eagles Nation,” thanking them for welcoming “my family and me with open arms from day one.” He wrote that the city, the locker room, and the fan base will “always hold a special place in my heart.”
He then turned to the people he spent every day with inside that locker room, telling his “brothers” that “thank you for going to battle with me every single day.” Brown said the memories he made with them, “on and off the field,” are something he’ll carry “forever.”
The thanks didn’t stop with players. Brown also addressed the coaching staff. trainers. equipment staff. cafeteria workers. and the cleaning crew. saying “Thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to keep us going.” He emphasized that “there are so many people in the building who make it possible for us to go out there and compete. ” and he closed that section with gratitude for all of them.
“Playing for this city has been an honor, and I’m thankful for every moment I had in midnight green,” Brown wrote. He finished with “Thank you, Philly. Much love always. God bless.”
Brown’s departure lands after four seasons in Philadelphia. In that span, he recorded 339 receptions for 5,034 yards and 32 touchdowns while playing in midnight green.
