Godox’s ES45 Desktop LED Key Light is selling for $119. down $20 from its usual price. at Amazon and B&H Photo. The discount is the first best price this year. making it a rare moment where streamers and home content creators can upgrade their on-camera setup without paying near the premium-model ceiling.

For people who don’t want to spend $180 on the Elgato Key Light. the ES45 is positioned as the more affordable alternative. It delivers nearly as much brightness while packing in features meant for everyday use: adjustable brightness and a color temperature range that runs from warm 2. 800K up to cooler. daylight-like tones.

The way you aim it can change the look immediately. You can position the light to shine directly on you for a straightforward on-camera key, or aim it at your wall to create that softer, ambient “bias lighting” glow—one that’s typically easier on the eyes during long sessions.

There’s also one practical add-on that feels built for avoiding setup friction: the ES45 includes a wireless 2.4GHz remote. Instead of digging through desktop controls or mobile apps, you can adjust the lighting right from the remote. The remote automatically recharges when you reconnect it magnetically to the light. so it’s designed to stay ready rather than forgotten.

Mounting is part of the pitch, too. The ES45 comes with a desk clamp that installs without tools, and it’s rated for desks up to two inches thick. For anyone setting up a tight workstation—or swapping between different desks—this detail matters more than it sounds.

At $119, the ES45 is clearly trying to win the same audience that usually defaults to higher-priced studio-style gear: people who want to look their best on camera, with the controls and mounting conveniences that make that easy every day.

  1. I don’t even stream and I still feel like buying this lol. 2.8k/daylight or whatever… does that mean it won’t mess up your face or something?

  2. So it has a 2.4GHz remote right, like WiFi? I’m confused why the article says it recharges magnetically… like it just sticks to the light and charges itself? Sounds kinda gimmicky to me but $119 is hard to ignore.

  3. Elgato is always like $180 so I get it. But “aim it at your wall” bias lighting?? Isn’t that just like… turning your light away? Also I swear I read somewhere these remotes drain batteries fast, so how’s it “stays ready”? Either way my desk is only like 1 inch so the clamp thing should work I guess.
