‘Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender’ (2026)

Almost 20 years after the series finale of this hit Nickelodeon series, Aang — known as the “Avatar” for his mastery of the four elements (water, fire, air, earth) — has grown into his role as a world protector. But when Aang awakens an ancient warrior (Dave Bautista), the balance of power between the four elements could change forever.

‘The Ballad of Wallis Island’ (2026)

This charming comedy-drama from across the pond stars Tim Key (“The Paper”) as an eccentric two-time lottery winner (imagine the odds!) who uses his windfall to reunite his favorite folk duo (Tom Basden, Carey Mulligan) years after a personal and professional breakup.

How to watch: “The Ballad of Wallis Island” is streaming on Peacock.

‘You, Me & Tuscany’ (2026)

Remember when romcoms were fixtures in movie theaters, and not relegated to streaming services or the Hallmark Channel? This outing from director Kat Coiro has the budget to really take viewers to the Italian countryside, where Anna (Halle Bailey) is crashing in the villa of a man (Lorenzo de Moor) she hooked up with back in New York. When his family shows up, she pretends to be his fianceé, though the man’s winemaker relative (Regé-Jean Page) isn’t buying it. It’s all pretty formulaic, but if you give yourself over to the stunning scenery and the winsome chemistry of Bailey and Page, you’ll have a pleasant time.

New TV Shows Streaming

‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4

The long-awaited return of “Ted Lasso” which last aired in 2023, finds the affable “football” coach (Jason Sudeikis) now in charge of the newly formed women’s team at the fictional AFC Richmond. The ladies are a step below the Premier League, giving Lasso and his new assistant coach (Tanya Reynolds) plenty to work on.

How to watch: “Ted Lasso” Season 4 is streaming on Apple TV.

‘Sterling Point’ Season 1

Of the two YA dramas debuting this week (the other being Ryan Murphy and Bret Easton Ellis’ edgy Hulu show “The Shards”), “Sterling Point” is the superior option. After discovering she’s inherited a remote island in Canada from her estranged grandfather, Annie (Ella Rubin) ventures North, where she finds a massive house and a stepsister (Amélie Hoeferle) she didn’t know she had.
