A 77-year-old man was hit on a golf cart at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, and by the end of the day the incident had escalated into an arrest tied to Michael Jordan’s NASCAR orbit.

Howell is booked in jail on one count of assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury. Her mug shot shows her wearing a black hoodie with the 23XI Racing logo.
In the aftermath, NASCAR moved quickly. The sport says Howell has been “indefinitely suspended.” Online records also show she was released from custody Tuesday on a $125,000 bond, and she is due back in court on June 16.

How do you even hit someone with a golf cart…
Indefinitely suspended sounds like NASCAR doing the bare minimum. If she ran him over that’s wild, but I swear they always move fast only after social media blows up.
Wait she was an employee, not like a driver right? I’m confused how “wrong way” turns into assault with a deadly weapon like… a golf cart is still like a golf cart. Also June 16? That feels forever.
So Michael Jordan’s whole NASCAR crew and this is what happens on an infield golf cart? Not saying it’s fake, but I feel like the wording is sketchy—“swung around” and “pushed into a fence” makes it sound like a full fight not just an accident. $125,000 bond means she didn’t do anything that bad, right? Idk.
