USA Today released a list of the 10 best hotel restaurants in the U.S. on Wednesday as part of its 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. La Padrona at Raffles Boston ranked No. 2, and The Wharf Restaurant at Madison Beach Hotel in Madison, Conn., ranked No. 4.

“Some of the leading restaurants in the United States, led by talented and often award-winning chefs, can be found in hotels and resorts,” USA Today wrote, saying its picks “go the extra mile with superior service and one-of-a-kind touches.”

La Padrona, which serves elevated Italian cuisine, was named one of the 50 best restaurants in America last year by The New York Times.

“The warm dining room feels like an Italian villa interior and sets the stage for the gastronomic offerings, led by their signature Bistecca Alla Fiorentina, a 40-ounce black angus porterhouse, served with bone marrow and grilled focaccia,” according to USA Today.

The Wharf Restaurant is “the place to be for New England seafood and creative continental classics,” wrote USA Today, and features an open-air porch overlooking the sea.

“The sea figures prominently here, with plenty of fresh oysters, mussels, octopus, lobster, and New England clam chowder on the menu,” according to the publication.

The No. 1 hotel restaurant is Kuro at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.

For the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics from food to lodging, destinations to things to do. Then the publication asks readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
