The heartbreak began at Lord’s, where India’s hopes of reaching the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 semifinals
came crashing down. Despite posting one of their best batting efforts of the tournament with 170 on the board, Harmanpreet Kaur’s side watched helplessly as Australia chased down the target with an over to spare. Honestly I don’t even follow hockey like that but the shootout part made me laugh in a good way. Cricket heartbreak, then suddenly 3-2 England in London?? Kinda feels like the universe said okay fine.
Ireland beating India 2-0 in T20I is wild, like what happened, did India choke again?? Also the Ireland win by one run at Stormont… I remember India being unbeatable or whatever, so that 16-series streak thing sounds made up but maybe true. Either way at least hockey won a goalless match so that’s something, right? Lord’s was the real pain though.
