Washington Commanders vs Dallas Cowboys Inactives: Treylon Burks active for Week 2

The Washington Commanders released their final injury report for Sunday afternoon’s game on Friday and then made two roster moves yesterday. Second-year DT Ricky Barber was released earlier this week, and then signed to the practice squad. He was elevated today, along with another UDFA signed last year, LB Ale Kaho. Barber was inactive last week, and he’s inactive again this week. CB Isaac Yiadom was signed from the practice squad after Barber’s release, but his first game on the 53-man roster will be from the sidelines. Javon Kinlaw was listed as questionable with a back injury, but he’s active today.

Two players were ruled out on Friday due to injuries from the Eagles game last Sunday. LB Frankie Luvu (groin) and TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) will both miss their first game of the season. Backups Leo Chenal and Ben Sinnott will need to step up this week. LB Ale Kaho was elevated from the practice squad and he’s active today.

The Commanders have two receivers inactive last week, but Treylon Burks will suit up today, giving Washington a bigger option against the Cowboys secondary. Luke McCaffrey is a healthy scratch for another game. Jaylin Lane was dealing with a groin injury this week, but with McCaffrey not suited up as a backup returner, he seems ready for the full return duties again this week.

Rookie quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis will be inactive again, but he has been designated as the team’s emergency 3rd quarterback. Rookie guard Tanoa Togiai rounds out the group of inactives this week.
