The Vikings made the matchup clear while making their point at the same time.

Minnesota, one of the few teams willing to lean into leaguewide drama during schedule drops, appeared to turn the attention of fans toward the Mike Vrabel–Dianna Russini scandal—at least with this playful reference—despite the risk that it could be read as more than just a joke.

While the Vikings worked the bit into a lighthearted video. head coach Kevin O’Connell is focused on the football side of what comes next.. This offseason. the Vikings made a new move at the position. signing Kyler Murray to a one-year. $1.3 million veteran minimum contract.. Murray is expected to step in as the starter for next season. setting up a fresh push for a team that’s already been near the top of the conversation under O’Connell.

For Minnesota, 2026-27 could be a pivotal campaign—one where expectations and execution both need to line up.. The Vikings didn’t just release a schedule on Thursday; they inserted a wink toward the Patriots and their head coach. as if to remind everyone that Week 14 won’t be the only thing that carries a little extra heat.
