Tyson Fury on Anthony Joshua’s career:

So that aside, obviously we are here to fight, and fight we will. I am looking forward to the challenge. It’s been 10 years in the making.

Fury: ‘When AJ was world champ I was on cocaine every week’

Listen, a long time ago- what’s it like, 16 years ago. I have trouble remembering what happened last week, let alone something that happened 16 years ago. He said I left with a black eye, but that’s nothing new.
During the time that AJ became world champion, I was getting drunk every day and taking cocaine every week. We’ve all had our problems, but we are not here for that.

Joshua calls for a minute silence

Wow, very respectful.

Anthony Joshua has asked for the whole press conference to observe a minute’s silence for the ‘fallen soldiers’ and name-checks Ricky Hatton.

It is perfectly observed by every single person in the building, including Tyson Fury and his team.

Shots at Dua Lipa

I’m not quite sure what I just listened to.

Turki Alalshikh just fired shots at pop star Dua Lipa saying she doesn’t like him and doesn’t like ‘Arabs’.

He then says London wouldn’t host the fight at 2am and even talks about Ryan Giggs.

Pretty bizarre.

Alalshikh misses ‘brother’ Dana White

Oooooh.

The whole place has just erupted into a chorus of boos.

It’s because Turki Alalshikh has said it’s a shame that his ‘brother’ Dana White is not here.

Eddie Hearn gives a wry smile before Alalshikh begs the promoter to make sure this fight goes through and talks about his health.

This is, well, interesting.

Monologue time

Oh hello.

We are listening to something of a monologue from the presenter of the press conference, where he basically goes through the entire history of heavyweight boxing.

Now Anthony Joshua is on his feet, pumping his fists when they get to talking about his win over Wladimir Klitschko.

We are yet to hear from the fighters, though, which is what we are all here for; let’s be real.

Man Don’t Care by grime artist JME then booms from the stage before Joshua and Fury eventually enter the stage. There are some boos before huge cheers break out.

Netflix have just started streaming the press conference, and it’s almost go time.

They are currently showing a montage of Tyson Fury and his biggest smack talk in the past.

The boxers will be on the stage very, very soon.

Big stars in the building

Every man, woman, person, and their dog that lives and breathes boxing wants to be in that press conference room today.

We all know how feisty this will get.

And well, two of the greats of British boxing, Lennox Lewis and Carl Froch, are both there reporting for Netflix.

With the show beginning in just a few moments’ time, I can’t wait to hear their thoughts on all of this.

It almost feels like the fight is today; there is that much excitement…
