Two More Games Revealed For Xbox Game Pass In 2026, Including A Surprise Shadow Drop

Who doesn’t enjoy a surprise addition to their Xbox Game Pass subscription? Well, that’s sort of the case with the two games we’re highlighting today.
First up is Valiant Hearts: Coming Home from Ubisoft. The 2024 sequel to The Great War just appeared on Xbox Game Pass last week. No acknowledgement from Ubisoft nor Xbox. It’s just there and playable for Ultimate subscribers. It’s likely the game was popped on as part of Ubisoft+, but whatever the case, it’s nice to have a newbie to kick back and play on a rainy day.
The second addition, Don’t Fret from Digital Pajamas, was recently highlighted during the 28 Games Later horror showcase. However, the mention of it coming to Xbox Game Pass was actually featured in a different trailer from the one shown during the showcase. Regardless, the game looks zany enough to keep your eye on when it launches sometime this winter.
Here’s a closer look at the two new titles confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in 2026:
In Valiant Hearts: Coming Home, play as four characters through exploration, action, and puzzles. With James, brother of the courageous Freddie, relive the story of the renowned Harlem Hellfighters. Follow George, a mysterious pilot helping the Allied forces thanks to his flying skills and smarts. Play as Ernst, a German diver sadly swept into the great conflict. Finally, join Anna once again as she struggles in her quest to save as many lives as she can.
Don’t Fret (Series X|S, PC, Cloud) – Winter 2026
You wake as Fret, a sentient guitar trapped at Harmonic Heights, a prestigious music school with a dark secret. Evade the enemies hunting you, use music to complete puzzles and uncover hidden memories that explain why you’re here.
