Trump Blasts ‘SAD’ Bill Maher In Early Morning Rage Post — But Throws Him 1 Compliment

President Donald Trump decided to start the day not by addressing the public about the economy or the ongoing conflict in Iran — but by dissing Bill Maher.

On Monday morning, right before 8 a.m., the president hurled one of his favorite insults at the HBO talk show host in a post on Truth Social. But hey, at least Trump also gave him a compliment by admitting he likes Maher.

“Bill Maher’s ratings are so low that it is hard to believe his show can continue,” Trump wrote. “In many ways it’s SAD because, in actuality, I like him. Republicans should stop using him as a sounding board, however. It makes them look sooo weak and foolish!”

After putting down his own political party and Maher, Trump moved on to blast “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough.

“Joe Scarborough’s show has been cut way back, and will soon be ‘dead!’” Trump wrote minutes after complaining about Maher. “Too predictable and boring! REALLY BAD RATINGS, just like the rest of MSNOW (MSDNC!).”

Trump’s attack on Scarborough makes some sense, considering that Trump currently has beef with his left-leaning network MS NOW. But Maher catching Trump’s ire makes less sense — unless the president just lulls himself to sleep every night like Arya Stark by chanting the names of all the talk show hosts he hopes get cancelled, and just woke up Monday morning with Maher’s name fresh on his mind.

Maher’s criticisms of Trump on Friday’s episode of his show “Real Time” didn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary. Maher did mock Trump a bit on his show for giving Chinese leader Xi Jinping a tour of the White House last week when Maher thinks Xi “could give a fuck.” But Maher also praised Trump during his show Friday, calling the president “a badass” and saying his “fuck around and find out” energy has helped contribute to lowering crime rates.

“He has UFC fights on the [White House] lawn,” Maher said Friday. “I think the bad guys got the message.”

So, whatever provoked Trump’s latest meltdown about Maher remains unclear — but what is clear is that Maher likely won’t be invited to have dinner with a “gracious and measured” Trump anytime soon.
