Toronto cop Marc Pinizzotto mourned as Chow pushes speed cameras

The murder of Toronto Police Emergency Task Force member Const. Marc Pinizzotto has reverberated across the city and country. On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, that tragic event culminated in swells of blue tears for the 43-year-old hero cop. A devastating loss for his family, friends, police colleagues, the city and country. Child under 12 euthanized in Netherlands in first case since law changed An “incurably ill” child under the age of 12 has been euthanized in the Netherlands, marking the first case since the country’s

euthanasia law changed two years ago. Dutch Health Minister Sophie Hermans wrote in a letter to parliament that the child had died last year, but did not include any other details including their gender, age, their date of death or the illness they suffered from, according to the Dutch broadcaster NOS. ‘SPEED KILLS:’ Olivia Chow calls for return of automated enforcement cameras Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow wants to increase the level of traffic enforcement in the city by inviting back what some consider to be

an unwanted guest — speed cameras. “I have said many times that speed kills,” Chow said Wednesday at a news conference. “This report that we just got on city council is horrifying.”

  1. So sad about the cop. But also they’re talking about euthanasia in the Netherlands?? How is that even related. I guess the headline mash-up is just clickbait city council stuff.

  2. I don’t trust the whole “speed kills” thing, like speed cameras are probably just a money grab. Also I thought Olivia Chow was against police stuff, so why is she suddenly pro-cops? Maybe Pinizzotto was involved with traffic cameras or something? Not saying, just seems weird.

  3. The Netherlands child euthanasia part sounds messed up, and they won’t even say the details like gender or age? That feels sketchy. Meanwhile Toronto brings back speed enforcement like that’s the only problem in the city. I feel bad for Marc Pinizzotto too, but these articles always connect totally random things and then everybody argues like it’s one issue.
