Tiger Woods Jet Heads Back to US After Rehab

Tiger Woods’ private jet is reportedly returning to the United States after 40 days in Switzerland for rehabilitation following his Florida crash.

Tiger Woods’ return to the United States is reportedly underway, with his private jet believed to be heading back from Switzerland nearly 40 days after he left to undergo rehabilitation.

The golf legend, 50, flew to Europe about a week after his most recent car crash in Florida, where he was detained following an incident on March 27. Police said the crash involved his SUV while he was attempting to overtake a truck and trailer near Jupiter Island.

According to reports, Woods’ luxury Gulfstream G550 departed Zurich Airport on Wednesday afternoon local time. The timing is notable because it comes just hours before the PGA Championship is set to begin near Philadelphia, though Woods is not listed as taking part in the second major of the year.

At this stage, it remains unclear where the plane is due to land or whether Woods is even onboard. The report also indicates his jet had traveled from Florida to Zurich just days earlier, underlining how quickly his schedule moved from the crash to a rehabilitation setting.

Woods has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence following the March 27 incident. Authorities said police found two pills in his pocket after arriving at the scene and that he showed signs of impairment following his SUV clipping a truck’s trailer and rolling onto its side.

The sheriff’s office report stated that Woods agreed to a breathalyzer test, which reportedly showed no signs of alcohol.. However, he refused a urine test, authorities said.. An incident report also described the vehicle’s speed as it traveled along a beachside. residential road with a 30mph limit. and it listed $5. 000 in damage to the truck.

In Switzerland, Woods has been undergoing “intense treatment” at a facility reported to focus on pain management.. A source cited by the Daily Mail said the approach involves working with a pain management doctor to deal with his body pain without using addictive opioids.. The report also stated Woods was able to contact a small number of people regularly. including Vanessa Trump. his kids. and his agent Mark Steinberg.

The same reporting described a 90-day program, with Woods able to leave whenever he wants, and it said his partner was encouraged by what she had been hearing about his progress. Vanessa Trump has been in a relationship with Woods for around 18 months, according to the report.

The legal and medical cases are now moving in parallel.. In recent days. it was reported that prosecutors have been granted permission to access Woods’ medical records. even though the notes will not be made public.. The aim is reportedly to determine whether Woods was advised not to drive while taking prescription medicine for the ailments he is dealing with.

A protective order has also been agreed upon, with Woods’ attorney, Douglas Duncan, seeking limits on who could view the medical records and emphasizing Woods’ right to privacy over his healthcare. Both sides reportedly agreed to shield the information from public view.

Earlier this week, a court development was reached after a brief hearing in Martin County on Tuesday morning, according to the report. Woods was not present at the hearing because he was in Switzerland.

Prosecutors’ focus is tied to the question of prescription medication and impairment, a theme that has shaped public scrutiny of Woods’ situation since the crash. The report said that although a breathalyzer showed no alcohol, authorities found pills and described impairment indicators at the scene.

The case adds to a history of driving trouble involving Woods over multiple years. It was reported that 2017 marked his first DUI arrest in Florida after police found him slumped in his car with five drugs in his system, including two painkillers.

Woods was also previously involved in a crash in 2021 in California that reportedly shattered his right leg after he was trapped under the vehicle. The report states he needed multiple surgeries to recover, but that he did not face charges and that no blood test was ever conducted.

The March 27 incident represents a fourth time Woods has been in trouble after being behind the wheel, the report noted.. It recalled that in November 2009 he crashed into a fire hydrant while trying to flee his Florida home after his then-wife. Elin Nordegren. discovered he had been having an affair.

For Woods’ wider sporting picture. his reported jet movement is occurring as the PGA Championship approaches. yet he is not playing in the year’s second major.. The sequence of events places the tournament in the background while the immediate priority remains his health and the ongoing legal process tied to the crash and the medication question.
