Texas Tech football head coach Joey McGuire is trying to figure out his quarterback situation following the Brendan Sorsby fiasco, but ironing out the details versus No. 22 Houston is not ideal. UCF, Boston College and Florida State transfer Thomas Castellanos threw an interception on the Red Raiders’ first offensive snap of the game, and it was a doozy.
The mobile signal-caller did his best to stall with his legs, but he could not hold off the Cougars’ defensive pressure any longer and attempted to throw the ball out of bounds. Accuracy has always been an issue for him, though. Castellanos’ pass stayed in the field of play, just long enough for Will James to snatch it. Yikes.
